Answer / suchi teegala
given lcm of 2 numbers is 2079
and hcf of the 2 numbers is 27
their is a rule as
lcm=(product of numbers )/hcf
given one number as 189
let the other number be x
therefore , 2079=189x/27
on solving x= (2079*27)/189
we get x= 297 which is the answer

Answer / varun
formula to find other number is
LCM * HCF = 1st no. * 2nd no.
hence, 2079 * 27 = 189 * X
X = (2079 * 27) / 189
X = 297

First prime factorise both LCM and HCF.
LCM=2079=7x3x3x11x3
HCF=27=3x3x3
So cut of the common numbers between the LCM and HCF that gives us 11 and 7 in LCM.
Now multiply the HCF with both the numbers(separately).
One number is 27x7=189(the number provided)and the other number is 27x11=297.This is my answer.

Product of two numbers = Their H.C.F * Their L.C.M
