In UV calibration for control of wave length we are using holomiumperchloride .it has coming from primary verification test and it gives both uv and visible region .And we have to see lamp discharge from uv to visible...we cant see if any reagent used for control of wave length so we are using holmium only for uv calibration...

Holmium oxide is only the material which shows multiple ditinctive wavelengths both UV and Vissible regeion and itis also give the sharp peaks in UV
