It used to measure the surface temperature of a body...that means in heat exchangers we need to know the temperature in surface ....it welded to the surface......

Skin type thermo couple is used to measure the temperature of the body.It is injected to the surface of the body to which temperature is measured through a Insulating pad,so that it collects temperature.
Installation not put directly inside the pipe. only outside the the pipe.

In instrumentation standard we use 4 to 20ma for transmission , why cant we use 3 to 19ma ?
