What is the diffrance between transistors and thyristor and diode?
1.Diode means a device have 2 electrode namely anode and cathode form by p-type and n-type semiconductor material used for rectification, clippers, clampers etc.
2.Transistor is 3 terminal device used for amplification of signal i.e. power, voltage & current and switch. 2 types-PNP and NPN.
3.thyristor is a solid state semiconductor with 4 layers alternating p and n semiconductor conducting when gate receive a current trigger. used for bistable switch, 3-phase rectifire, inverter.
