To check the continuity of a cable, first short any two cores of a cable at one end and test same cores for continuity on other end by megger. If both cores are open it will show high resistance and if not will show zero resistance. And repeat the same process for other cores.

its very simple
Connect the other ends of cable togather and take megger from other end at very low voltage, if megger is zero means it is continuty is one, again seprate the the cable and take the megger if megger is more tha 100 Kohm, means cable is healthy.

we connect the megger to cable then read the megger reading. If this reading is infinity then your cable will ok. Or megger does not show infinity then your cable is cut or insulation level is decreased
