5 inch thickness wall 100 sqft req. 480pcs bricks
and 3 inch thickness wall req. 100 sq ft. is 280 pcs bricks

For 100 sq ft = 100÷ 10.764 = 9.29 sq my
For 5" = .125 m
For 3" = .075 m ( also note generally brick work is more than 4" )
Therefore for 5" volume will be
V= 9.29 (area) x .125 (thickness of wall)
V= 1.1613 m3
Now volume of brick having size - 230x115x75 is = 0.001984 m3
Therefore no of bricks = 1.1613/0.001984 =~ 585 nos ( without considering mortar)
Same for 3" bricks no of bricks required= 0.69675/0.001984 =~ 351 nos
(If mortar considered then size of brick will increase by 10mm from all sides)
