How many bricks are required for 100 sq ft 5" & 3" wall, Brick size= 230x115x75..

Answer / atul jadhav

For 100 sq ft = 100÷ 10.764 = 9.29 sq my
For 5" = .125 m
For 3" = .075 m ( also note generally brick work is more than 4" )

Therefore for 5" volume will be
V= 9.29 (area) x .125 (thickness of wall)
V= 1.1613 m3

Now volume of brick having size - 230x115x75 is = 0.001984 m3

Therefore no of bricks = 1.1613/0.001984 =~ 585 nos ( without considering mortar)

Same for 3" bricks no of bricks required= 0.69675/0.001984 =~ 351 nos

(If mortar considered then size of brick will increase by 10mm from all sides)

Is This Answer Correct ?    0 Yes 0 No
