why do we connect voltmeter in parallel, why not in
series, and why do we connect ammeter in series why not in
paprallel...

A voltmeter measures the potential difference between 2
points of an electric circuit and completes the circuit
which is open between this to points that means
is "parallel" with remaining elements in circuit.
An ammeter measures the current flowing through the circuit
so you have to break the circuit and put the ammeter "in
series" with the circuit elements.

Current same in series and voltage same in parllel
so when we connect A meter in series and V
meter in parallel it measure correct value

Ammeter has low resistance coil,so it always connected in series otherwise it short with load because of low resistance path and voltmeter have high resistance ,so it connected in paralel,if voltmeter connected in series it will resist current flow

Voltage has property that its true value remains same in parallel circuits so in order to read true voltage reading its connected in parallel same is for current it remains same in series so ammeter connected in series to read true current value.
