strirubs hook lengths generally depends upon the dia of steel

But as per IS codes

We can adopt one thumbrule

hook length = 10 d

where d is the dia of the steel

No it is not correct. You may calculate or adopt thimb rule. You may take 9d 45 degree bend and 16d in 90 degree bend.
