It is not possible. The thermostat of ACU will remain open
if you set it to 20 deg. C while the incomning air from
outside is 10 deg.C. Therefore the compressor will not run
since air blown by the fan is colder than what is set by
the sensor - thermostat. You need to install other heating
device in order to maintain temperature hotter than the
ambient temp.

It is possible in those air-conditioning systems with heat pump is also present. Actually in those systems it reverses the flow of refrigeration cycle with the help of a reverse valve. That means refrigerant flows from compressor to evaporator in this case
