Can you any one explain different between instantaneous over current and IDMT ..

Instantaneous Over Current Means when The Over Current Detected it will be tripped i.e.,at t=0sec but not in IDMT

IDMT means Inverse Difinte Min. Time,

Here, higher the current value lower the tripping time
Lower the current value higher the tripping time
