normaly in star connection motor take very less current as
compare to delta connected. because of current get root 3
times less than phase current. in fact motor almost take
low current but low power factor also. you must know how
much load give to motor if motor load is hgh and its
connected star then it unable share load whether it requre
to delta.

Normally we have observed in several times that, when we switched on the any star delta motor than momentary time of star connection motor gets high current and current going to down when motor was shifted in delta
