only one wdg. It uses less
copper. So copper loss is less
in auto transformer. So it's
efficiency is more than 2
wdg. Transformer.

Autotransformer works on principle of self induction ie primary and secondary windings kept one side series and copper loss is more than transformer so it has less efficience.
