Max cement use dfor 1 m3 of concrete is 450 kgs.
if we consider normal w/c ratio as 0.4
Max water required becomes 450*0.4=180 litres of water

Say 1 m3 = 450 Kg Cement
Now, Considering W/C ration as 0.45
Water = 450 x 0.45 = 202.5 Litres

In 1 cum of concrete we require 350kg of cement .Considering the water cement ratio is 0.5 ,so water required is 0.5*350= 175 liters

In case of a beam ,main steel is provided along the longer span because, bending moment is directly proportional to length but why in case of one way slab main steel is provided along shorter span while as bending takes place along longer span?comment
