Why dose voltage rated at 11kva
Answer / abhishek pandey
Most of the voltages in the power system are rated at
11kv,132kv or likewise. It is observed that these voltages
are a multiple of 11.This is because of the form factor
which is equal to 1.1 in the equation for the emf generated
by the alternator.Since the form factor is a multiple of 11
most of the voltages assume forms like 11kv,132kv or 220kv.
