I have flow transmiter DP range is 0 to 5000mmwc,(convert) Display to be show in m3/Hr...

Answer / sajid ali khan

Dear the Flow range is not just a function of the flow
transmitter. It is function of the Flow Element, that can
be an Orifice or a venturi, etc.
You have to know the Flow calculations and then calculate
the relationship of dp vs flow

I have flow transmiter DP range is 0 to 5000mmwc,(convert) Display to be show in m3/Hr...

Answer / kirubakaran

example:
50% range =squareroot of(d.p/max-min)
50/100 = square root of(dp/5000-0)
take square on both side
2500*5000/10000= d.p(differential pressure)
1250mmwc= d.p
similiarly find 0%,25%,75%,100% this is for square root output

pls see range in dcs example 0-50ton
then put corresponding value
range o/p(ma) mmwc tons
0% 4 0 0

25% 8 312.5 12.5

50% 12 1250 25

75% 16 2812.5 37.5

100% 20 5000 50

if u feel correct means follow this

When you include the error, what is the minimum possible pressure in our fuel gas system? i. 49.5 bar ii. 49 bar iii. 1 bar iv. 0.5 bar We want to change the filter cartridge. We must depressure the fuel gas system. c. After we depressure the system in preparation for maintenance, the transmitter displays a pressure of +0.1 bar. At this time, what is the possible range of pressures in our fuel system? i. +0.099 to +0.101 bar ii. 0 to +0.2 bar iii. -0.1 to +0.3 bar iv. -0.9 to +1.1 bar

A pressure differential gauge type of instrument has a manifold with 2 isolation valves (hp and lp),2 vents(1 each for hp and lp) and 1 equalizing valve. Determine the position of each valve(either fully closed or fully open) when troboulshooting to: 1. zero the transmitter. 2. determine if there is a block in the impulse line. 3. determine if the gauge is functioning properly. The process fluid is water.
