What is the intent of short circuit studies?..

Answer / vrishali ajagaonkar

Short circuit analysis is required to determine the fault
level at system, based on that we can select the circuit
breaker rating ( Isym & peak fault current).
Also Short circuit analysis helps to decide the impedance
of the transformer also it helps us to do the relay
coordination.
