MCB is miniature circuit breaker which is a small
electrical circuit breaker used in small electrical systems
for protection against conditions such as overload or short-
circuit.
MCCB is moulded case circuit breaker which can be operated
upto currents of 1000 A.

mcb-miniature circuit breaker its bi metal trip type cannot able to co-ordinate the relays,small size,using for small loads.
Mccb-Moulded case circuit breaker can able to co-ordinate relays,here trip coil is separately provided for tripping action,large size and using for heavy duty

MCCB can be used for short circuit...overload and earth fault as well and it can be manufactured on demand for any amount of current

What will happen if we give the 3 phase supply to the rotor of slipring induction motor?
I have a small system with two motors that are running on 380 vac, 60 hz. These motors are expensive and I usally get them from Brazil. I am adding another motor to the system, but I want to purchase a 480 vac, 60 hz motor to use. It will be on a VFD that is rated fro 380 thru 480. Is this posible and will I have to use a larger motor and derate it?
