tungstun having high resistance. In tungstun bulb the tungstun is made into a conductor of very small area of cross section. due to the small are of cross section, the resistance will be increased. that too that small conductor is made into a small spiral to increase the length of conductor.
Whenever the cuurrent flows through the conductor there will be a eddy current loss. this eddy current loss dissipated in the form of heat. Due to the low area of cross section in the tungtun filament resistance is high. So the flow of the current is opposed and the eddy current also increased. So the filament becomes heat and the heat leads to gives the illumination.
