UPS-Uninterpreted Power Supply,once the power failure the change over process will b done with out any fluctuation because of strategic switch is available in the UPS.

Inverter-Once the power failure the change over will b done with interruption bcoz DC power is converting AC.Batteries is charging at the time power available then DC power is converting into AC at the time of power failure.

can induction motor becomes as a generator. if yes how it is possible. if there is a squirrel cage rotor.
