What should be the ideal tapping location for pressure
differential transmitter for liquid service. If the tapping
taken from the top of the pipe then PDIT will work properly
or not. If PDIT do not work properly then what minimum
corrective action should be taken in order to solve wrong
tapping locations.
Answer / nilesh
1.Ideal tapping location for liquid flow transmitter
orifice tapping in horizontal line is horizontalplane or 45
Degree downwards.
2.If tapping taken from top of the pipe then gases in
liquid service can disturb the measurement and hence
control.
3.Tamperory solution for fluctuation is frequent flushing.
