It will also show you the voltage drop at the point where you need to install some machine or appliance. If the desired voltage drop is higher than you require you can select the next size of the cable.

there is no thumb rule for calculating the cable rating. if
we know the total load and calculate the system current
required. then check the rating in chart and select the
