A student appeared in 3 papers of Maths, English and Science. The maximum marks of the three papers..

Answer / aaa

maximum marks for
maths = (3/10)*500 = 150
english = 100
Science = 250

Marks obtained
maths = 75
english = 68
Overall should be 73/100 * 500 = 365
therefore Science = 365 - (75 +68) = 222
science percentage = 222/250 * 100 = 88.8

A student appeared in 3 papers of Maths, English and Science. The maximum marks of the three papers..

Answer / ds

MAXIMUM MARKS:

M:E:S = 3X:2X:5X
Now, 3x+2x+5x=500; x= 50
Therefore maximum marks that can be obtd in,
M:E:S = 150: 100:250

Now OBTAINED MARKS:

M:E:S (in percentage) = 50:68:?
Overall marks obtained is 73(in percentage)
That is, (73/100)*500 = 365
Similarly for M = (75/100)*150 = 112.5
For E = (68/100)*100 = 68

Remaining marks is for S = 365 - (112.5 + 68)= 365 - 180.5
= 184.5
In % = 73.8%
