A student appeared in 3 papers of Maths, English and
Science. The maximum marks of the three papers are in the
ratio of 3 : 2 : 5 and total of 3 papers is 500. He obtained
50% in Maths, 68% in English ,and 73% overall.
What is the percentage marks he scored in Science?

maximum marks for
maths = (3/10)*500 = 150
english = 100
Science = 250
Marks obtained
maths = 75
english = 68
Overall should be 73/100 * 500 = 365
therefore Science = 365 - (75 +68) = 222
science percentage = 222/250 * 100 = 88.8
