Answer / aditi
In a wye or star connection, the windings of the induction
motor connect from the supply phases to the neutral. In a
delta or mesh connection, the windings connect between the
supply phases.
A wye connection creates higher voltage to the windings of
the three-phase induction motor than a delta connection.

Answer / sreesankar
in y connection voltage applied to the motor is less
compared to delta .so current & hence torque is less.
ie,speed is less compared to delta

in star connections one phase is given to each
winding, meanwhile in Delta connections each winding get
double phase.

some practicle study shows that the reactive power at the receiving end is not equal to the reactive power at the sending end.But according to theory the reactive power is exchanged by different parts of the network – capacitors and reactors permanently, but is never consumed or produced. Then Where that reacrtive power loss occuring?is there any formula to calculate reactive power loss?
