Answer / jerin george e
weight of the water in fresh grape is 20*90/100=18kg
hence constant weight component= 20-18=2kg
water content in dry fruit=20%
ie x/(X+2kg)=20%
X be the weight of water in dry grape.
solving we et x=.5kg
hence weight of dry fruit is 2+.5=2.5kg

20 kg fresh grapes will contain 2 kg of grapes and 18 kg water.
In dried grape, grape concentration is 80%; that implies 2kg
should be taken as 80%. So, total weight of dried grape is
2.5kg.

2 answer is
after removing the water content the pulp is 2 kg weight with no water content,now the pulp has to to be made in to dried level we add x kg water i.e, the ratio of x/x+2= 20%
i.e,
x/x+2=1/5
therefore x=.5
our required result is x+2=2.5 kg

Solve in a reverse manner-
2.5 kg of dry grape contains 20 % of water, ie. 2 kg of dry
material and 0.5 kg of water.2 kg of dry material being
constant, fresh grapes also contain 2 kg of the material,
ie 10% of fresh grapes. So 100% means 20 kg!
Conclusion- 20 kg of fresh grape will produce 2.5 kg of dry
grapes

wieght of the fresh grapes of 20kg quantity = 90/100 x 20
=18kg of water.
weight of dried grapes of 20kg quantity =20/100 x20
=4kg of water
weight when fresh grape converts onto dried grapes=90-20
=70%of water is lost
=70/100 x 20
=14kg of water lost
so remaining weight=6kg
actual weight of dried grape=4kg
hence weight=6-4=2kg

fresh = 90%
dried = 20%
loss when fresh become dried =90- 20 = 70%
=20 KG *70% = 14 kg
=20-14 = 6KG
Ans = 6 KG
