megger is used to measure the insulation resistance only
whereas multimeter is used to measure resistance,ac
voltage,dc voltage,ac current,dc current etc....

whereas miltimeter is used to measure current(ac&dc),voltage

VOLTAGE,B OF TRANSISTOR, CONTINUIETY,RESISTANS,etc...

while, MEGGER IS USED TO MEASURE INSULATION RESISTANS OF
THE CABLE OR ANY WINDING....
