as we know that all type of efficiencies are calculated by
a standard formulae i.e. output/input.in case of an ic
engine an ideal fluid is considered as working media but in
practical it is not possible.hense air is used as a working
media for ic engines & the efficiency which we get by using
air is the air standard efficiency.
