insulator,each disc supports the voltage of 11KV

The no of insulators for a particular HT voltage can be found out using the following method,
No of Insulators = ((Phase Voltage )/ 11KV )+ 2 );
because, insulators are calculated for phase voltages, one disc insulator can carry almost 11KV. One or two extra insulators can be provided to reduce the voltage stress of each insulator
