extra reinforcement mesh..

Because in opening corners, there is more tension in the
internal part of the corner so it tends to develope cracks.
First crack developes at the re-entrant corner.

Due to the load acting on the lintel the -ve moments are
developed at the corners. due to this -ve moments diagnal
cracks are developed at the opening corners.
