A jacking oil presure is commonly used on rotor shafts of
steam driven Turbine Generators prior to startup or after
shutdown to provide even cooling of the shaft and eliminate
rotor distortion caused by sags due to weight and bows due
to uneven cooling.

Jacking oil pressure: it will help to lift the shaft to
avoid the shaft bending and easily rotate the shaft in
600MW unit jacking oil pressure is 17 to 19 Mpa
