1KW = 1.25KVA
Calculate your total load in KW then you calculate
KW/0.8=KVA

Mr.kumar u r gett in a wrong ans:

Kw/kva=cosphi

so, 1kw/kva=.8

kva=1/.8=1.25kva

Emergency Lighting Load = 11.75 KW
Power factor = 0.80
Total UPS load for emergency lighting= 14.69 KVA
Installed capacity with 20% extra = 17.63 KVA
Hence 1no of 20 KVA is selected
