when plant is running that time any Tx can be commission but
few precautions need to follow-
1. all interlocks which is related with Tx to be checked &
put it in bypass.
2. Check all process parameters in field.
3. If these all conditions are healthy then Tx can be lineup
or commission.
4. Check all settings, ranges etc.
5. After commission Tx interlock take in line.

1) Check whether the transmitter is in closed loop or not.
2)If it is in closed loop, then do the engineering login
from your server and force the current value.
3)Then come to field isolate the transmitter from the
process , open the vent make the transmitter entirely free
from process and see whether the transmitter is having the
zero error or not
4)If it is not having the zero error then make flush out the
impulse lines and take the transmitter in line
5)If it is having the zero error then do the zero
calibrstion from ur HART communicator by selecting online mode.
6)Observe the transmitter for 5 minutes then remove the
force and put the transmitter in closed loop.

how ranges is decided for drum level or dearator level,in my pplant i have seen for boiler drum range is -1000 to 1000mmwc, while for dearator -2000 to 0 mmwc ,why they decided to take this range ?
