when the transmission line length is comparable to signal wavelength/10.. why we have to analyse considering capacitance ,inductance, resistance , conductance..(distributed element)..why not we do the same in case of lumped element..
why do everything is explained with respect to quarter wavelength(lambda/4), in antennas, microwaves etc..what is so special in that wavelength ?

Elements are considered as lumped when their size is very small compared to the wavelength of applied signal.eg:capacitors, resistors, inductors etc..Distributed elements are those which are electrically separable. eg:transmission line has distributed resistance, inductance & capacitance along its length..

Lumped systems are those systems in which electrical
properties like R, L, C etc are assumed to be located on a
small space of the circuit. these systems are applicable
for high frequency application.
On the other hand Distributed systems assume that
electrical properties R, L, C etc are distributed across
the entire circuit. these systems are applicable to for low
frequency application.
