STAR DELTA...BCOZ REDUCED VOLTAGE IS APLLIED IN STARTING AS THE STARTING CURRENT IS VERY HIGH...IN STA CNNECTION VP=VL/UNDER ROOT 3...

3 phase motor connected in stardelta connection because high value of current required to motor to attain its rated speed which is obtained by star delta....its increse the starting current by root 3 and reduce the voltage by root 3
