Answer / amarjeet
generly it is calculated by d*d/162. for 1 m length. like
8dia bar: d*d/162= 8*8/162=
64/162 =0.395kg per meter length
if u t having 12 m rod of 8 mm dia than total weight of 12
m bar is= 12*0.395
= 4.74kg

Find the volume of one metre length of rod . Multiply it
with desity ..
Often steel rods are weighed to make sure that no hollow
blow holes are there in manufactured steel
For each dia rods weight per unit metre is known and we can
weigh it properly

d*d/162.162 where d is dia of bar.... remember it is weight
per meter..... like 6*6/162.162 = 0.222 kgs/meter....
8*d*d/3 where d is dia (in inches) of bar in FPS system...
d*d/24 also in FPS but here d is bar number... like #4 bar
mean 4/8 inch (0.5 inch)

Dia of road*Dia of road/162*length of road meter
ex:-8*8/162*1m
=0.395kg
ex;-8*8/162*12m
=4.74kg

Volume×density=weight
(Volume=area×length mm^3)
for 1m of length
((22×r×r÷7)×1000)mm^3=volume
(Volume = 3142.857 r×r=785.714 d×d mm^3)
(Density=7856.34×10^-9kg/mm^3)
Weight= 785.714×d×d×7856.34×10^-9 kg/m
Weight=d×d×6.17283726×10^-3 kg/m
Or
weight=d×d÷
For example :- 8mm steel bar
weight=8×8÷162 kg/m
WEIGHT= 0.395 kg/m
