The Energy efficiency of an Air-conditioning system is
commonly expressed in one of the three following ratios:
1. Coefficient of performance (COP)
2. Energy efficiency ratio (EER)
3. Power per Ton (kW/TR)
The COP is the ratio of Refrigerating effect (output)to the
Power consumption (input) with units.
COP = Refrigeration effect in kW / Input power in kW
