i got selected in divisional accountant in cgl 2008. plz
tell me salary and good and bad aspects of this service and
what is promotion chances in this.

the basic salary of this job is Rs.13,500/-(pay in the pay
band Rs.9300/- & G.P.-Rs.4200/-)
in this job your future will be bright.

first of all i would like to congratulate you on your
selection. The divisional accountant is a very good and
sought after career by the young aspirants. This cadre
involves a lot of independence and authority. At the same
time a lot of responsibility is to be borne.I feel this is
the best possible posting cadre available with the SSC
graduate level examination. In case u are not satisfied with
the job after joining it, i would advice u to prepare for
IAS prelims but not SSC graduate level.

Divisional accountant next promotion is DAO Grade II , DAO
Grade I and Sr. DAO. Except Grade II both are gazetted post
and are in grade pay 4800 and 5400 Grade II are 4600.
Promotion are subject to condition that a fixed ratio is
followed by all accountant general i.e. 15+25+25+35=100
when ever you will posted calculate the total sanctioned
post in the state and Available DA's ratio you will solve
your all problem also a important matter you will go a
departmental exam for your confirmatin with in 3 times.
which is a normal but necessary to all selectors. if you
want to go this service my best advise that you will have
to do civil contractor with govt registration or contact
any contractor for your any quarries . I also advised to
you that please prepare ICS exam with full confidence
before joining to this job if you want to do some thing
best and special for your family, socity, villages .

Divisonal Accountant Post is one of the good post. Payband and Grade Pay for this post are Rs.9300-34800 and Rs.4200/-Within tnree years from the date of passing Confirmation Exam you will get first promotion as Divisional Accounts Officer Grade-II in same pay band with GP Rs.4,600/-. After that completion of every three years you will get promotion as Divisional Accounts Officer Grade-I (Same Pay Band GP Rs.4,800/-)and Senior Divisional Accounts Officer (Pay Band 15600-39100 GP Rs.5,400/-) subject to availability of vacancy. Though you are recruited by SSC, you have to serve in one of State Government Office (Public Works Department/Irrigation) allotted by SSC. At present Sr.DAO is the top most post in the DA Cadre that will be reached within 10 to 11 years if you succeed in the confirmation exam in the first attempt itself. And one more important point is that if you are posted other than your native state and the regional language is not one of the subject atleast at your Matric.level exam) you have to pass a test on regional language addition to the confirmation exam.
