Deferred Revenue Expenditures are those expenditures which
have been incurred in an accounting year and they do not
create any assets but their benefit is spread in more than
one accounting year. although it appears in the asset side of
the balance sheet, it is not really an asset for business.
Examples:-

Usefullness of certain assets do not get expired in the year
in which they are acquired and the expenses incurred for
these assets shall be amortised over the useful life of that
asset,all expenses of such nature are called deffered
revenue expenditure.
