how to calculate the cable size in sqmm if load (kw) is given?..

Answer / benchmark pakistan

mostly 1mm cable can handle 2amps current, by calculating
load current from given Kw we can easly find suitable cable
for load

how to calculate the cable size in sqmm if load (kw) is given?..

Answer / nishant

Its depends on the voltage drop by current calculated from
KW rating. In india generally 3% voltage drop is considered
pumps/motors. It is basically different for different
equipment. It also depends on the cable length. If cable
length is more then voltage will be high so size will be high.

how to calculate the cable size in sqmm if load (kw) is given?..

Answer / md. al-amin sarker

as far i know,
for copper cable,
rm or sqmm = KW * 0.7
kw = 3 phase or single phase load.
the cable size can vary with temperature. because resistance
vary with temperature.
