why linerity not use in GC but use in HPLC ?..

Answer / jangam shyam

linearity test used in hplc and gc.this test is performed to
detect the performance of detector.if we increase the conc
of the sample vise versa the response is increased.the graph
shold be linear.

why linerity not use in GC but use in HPLC ?..

Answer / sandip bhasme

If you are taking % area of a componant; there is no need to
take linearity in GC, But if you have to compare standard
against sample, you need to check linearity for GC also. eg.
if you are analyzing a gas sample on FID OR TCD detector,
your detector response must be linear.
