Rated interrupting time is the mean time for interruption of any current exceeding the rated interrupting current of the Breaker.The possible relaying time of modern high speed protection is 0.5 to 1,0 cycle.The breaker interrupting time of high speed modern circuit breaker is nearly 2 to 3 cycles.
