well point in a dewatering system is a hole or you say a
downpoint in respect to fllor where water store in that
point. so a pump can easily dewater from that point

Well point is a small sump to collect water and to put a
pump for dewatering.

well point system water collect in special made pipes with vaccum pump .under ground seapage of water control due to bailout of water.

can we go for short rcc column without any steel rienfocement carrying truely axial load only???(No other load acting on it such as wind load,earthquake & lateral earth pressure)
