Answer / indranil datta
The Car coming from opposite direction at 60KM/hr speed can
travel (60x8x1000)/3600=133.33 m in 8 secs
The car travelling at 40Km/hr speed can travel
(40*8*1000)/3600=88.88 m in 8 secs.
So the distance between 2 cars is (133.33+88.88)=222.21 m

speed = dist/time
two cars speed is 60+40=100km/hr(adding due to opposite direction)
should convert to m/s i.e 5/18
100*5/18=speed
time =8sec
by formula
dist= speed*time
100*5/18*8=223m
ans is 223

Answer / thangamurugan
They are asking only the distance of separation of the two
cars(40km/hr).
opposite car(60km/hr) meets 8sec interval.
so,we need to calculate how much distance the opposite car
travels in 8 sec.
i.e., distance= (60/3600)*8=0.13333km
=133.33m (ans)

Alok and Bhanu play the following min-max game. Given the expression N = 9 + X + Y – Z where X, Y and Z are variables representing single digits (0 to 9), Alok would like to maximize N while Bhanu would like to minimize it. Towards this end, Alok chooses a single digit number and Bhanu substitutes this for a variable of her choice (X, Y or Z). Alok then chooses the next value and Bhanu, the variable to substitute the value. Finally Alok proposes the value for the remaining variable. Assuming both play to their optimal strategies, the value of N at the end of the game would be
