If we touch the Capacitor terminals you feel shock after
the capacitor was put in operation and not in case of
inductor though both are energy storage elements.why?

Answer / vaijanath nirgude
bcoz capacitor stores the elecrtostatic field & that it is
voltage & we know that shock get due to voltage . the
inductor stores the energy in the form electromagnetic
field so we do not get shock from inductor

The above answer is clear to understand. But i will give
proof... if we charge the capacitor for some time it charges
slowly or fastly depending up on time constant. when we
remove the supply which is connected across the
capacitor. The capacitor stores the energy in the form of
static electricity and is enough to get small voltage across
capacitor even when supply is removed enough to get shock
in the same way the inductor stores in the form of
electromagnet energy.. But voltage across the inductor is
Zero. So u will not get shock

In a circuit capacitor discharges through RC time
constant.i.e. capacitor discharging is mainly depends on
resistance of the circuit. human has some resistance when
we disconnect the charged capacitor it dischares through
human resistance when human touches its leads.then we felt
shock.
But in case of inductor the discharging takes place in
form of flux.so human cannot feel any shock with the flux.

inductor is the device whose energy depending upon current
based storage action...not as voltage base..... as u know if
terminals are free across it can posses the voltage but not
curret
hence inducter can't store energy in isolated form.... so
shocklesss........
