if lot of motor running in factory is it necessary to
connect capacitor bank

Answer / bhusha
dc motor never drop the power factor of the motor because
in case of dc any circuit behaves as a resistive circuit.
if number of induction motors are connected then power
factor is drop, therefor it is necessary to connect power
factor correcting capacitor banks across motors.
