generally two types of CT are used 1) Window type 2) Bar
type.
1) in window type ct are used in HV voltage level there
equipotential wires are used. in window type ct conductor
passing through it so stress on CT materail is uneven so
that it create more stress near conductor and less on other
parts. so CT is desing such a way that onother layer
provided in ct and conducting path provided and busbar
connected to this conducting parts so that potential of
entire Window ct inside surface is equal and stress on CT
is eliminated.

i think it is generally used to discharge current
transformer generally in case of window type cts where in
bar type it can be discharged as it was connected to
circuit itself

how does the terminal voltage of transmission lines increase when a capacitor is connected???? This happens not only in transmission lines but also in all circuits. How??? When a capacitor is connected in a transmission line, capacitor also takes energy from the same supply. But how is it able to increase the terminal voltage??? Practically What sequence of events happen during increase in voltage???
