how to carry out Magnetizing Current Test on Distribution
transformer and what purpose we are doing this test.
mag. current is tested to see whether all the 3 phases are
properly magnetised or not.If any phase is taking a higher
current then it could be said that in that phase some
conductors are short,So it's better that during this test
variac be used to apply the voltage, one should slowly
increse the voltage or just on-off the multimeter used to
see the quick response,if current is quickly incresing use
variac,to protect the multimeter.

When batteries are connected in series the voltage increases but the current remains unchanged, how can this be? When you consider ohm's law. i.e. If voltage increases, current increases, providing resistance remains the same.
