mag. current is tested to see whether all the 3 phases are
properly magnetised or not.If any phase is taking a higher
current then it could be said that in that phase some
conductors are short,So it's better that during this test
variac be used to apply the voltage,one should slowly
increse the voltage or just on-off the multimeter used to
see the quick response,if current is quickly incresing use
variac,to protect the multimeter.

if negative of DC supply used and positive is grounded through EGB, and if ELCB used in the system then is it sense the positive volatge and get tripped is it possible?
