It depends on Application. In HT conductor sizes will be
less & also motor will be more compact since current flow
will be less, but insulation level be more.
HT will be my choice, if speed controll is not required.
LT will be my choice, if speed controll is required (VFD)
Since HT VFDs are quiet high in cost.

For 300 KW motor we can use LT switchgear. Current consumption of a 300KW motor will mot be more than 1000A. So LT switch gear is possible to use

Depends upon application.
if all other motors are operated on HT/LT then 300 KW motor
should be opertaed on HT/LT respectively.
If your generation is HT and you want operate on LT then
you have to install VCB, Transformer, ACB and size of cable
will be more as compared to HT but less insulation will be
required.
If you want to operate 300 KW on HT then no need of
transformer,ACB, only XLPE cable will be used.
