red(heat wave) wave from the earth which is absorbed by the
carbon dioxide.Thus summer is much hotter....

As air is a bad conductor of heat , it does not mean that
its temperature will not rise. As sun rays have large amount
of heat energy it heats the air with the help of infrared rays.
